About Nichols Woodworking

Nichols Woodworking is a full service woodworking shop established by Franklin (Nic) Nichols in 1981. After graduating from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Nic began designing and building fine cabinetry for homes and businesses throughout the New York/CT area. For over 35 years Nichols Woodworking has specialized in custom hardwood cabinetry and specialty finishes. The shop consists of four craftsmen with many years of woodworking experience, together they build, finish, and install custom millwork and cabinetry. Recent projects include kitchens, libraries, foyers, custom closets and wine cellars as well as free-standing pieces of furniture. Nic works closely with homeowners, interior designers, architects and builders to address their exact needs and wishes.
